Unique. Distinctive. Strong.
Solid Oak Porches across Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire & North Leicestershire.
We’re a small, family-run oak-frame carpentry business specialising in hand-crafted, individually-designed oak-framed porches. Born from a passion for working with wood, we design, handcraft, and build solid oak post and beam porches, from your first thoughts to your finished frame. Our decades of industry and oak framing experience mean we have the design know-how, traditional oak carpentry skills and project management ability to create practical and beautiful oak-framed porches that stand strong and will be enjoyed for generations.
Solid oak-framed porches designed and made for you. At Character Oak, all our traditionally handcrafted porches benefit from over 20 years of carpentry experience, traditional oak-framing skills and modern design methods.
We believe your beautiful oak framed enclosed or open porch should be as unique as you are. And pride ourselves on taking a handcrafted approach to every structure we create.
You won’t find any large ‘production line’ CNC machines in our workshop, just lots of lovely handheld tools (and plenty of sawdust!).
